About the USS Indiana Commissioning

A commissioning is a ceremonial joining of a ship and her namesake. Our committee seeks to give the Indiana a grand send off as she joins the world’s most powerful Navy and takes her place among the fleet. Funding is necessary in providing a financial means to conduct a proper commissioning of the ship and to build a strong relationship with the crew and demonstrate true Hoosier Hospitality.

Join us in honoring the USS Indiana and her crew — this is your chance to become an honorary plankholder of the newest named ship recognizing the rich military heritage of the Hoosier State.
